2. Human Medication
Over-the-counter pain relievers, antidepressants, and even vitamins can be deadly for pets. Keep all medications securely stored and out of reach.
3. Indoor Plants
Many popular houseplants, such as lilies for cats and azaleas for dogs, are highly poisonous. Ingestion can cause severe vomiting, diarrhoea, tremors, and even organ failure.
4. Floor Cleaners
The harsh chemicals in floor cleaners can irritate a pet’s paws and digestive system if licked or ingested. Choose pet-safe cleaning products whenever possible.
5. Rodenticides (Rat Poison)
